Laura went from having never completed a marathon to running five in just over two years, and isn’t ready to stop yet. The marathon is definitely her favourite distance and Laura very much has a ‘if I can do it, you can’ attitude. She also isn’t afraid of a 6am alarm! Laura is half way through the World Marathon Majors and is keen to complete all six, with New York, Tokyo and Boston remaining.
Laura knows what it is like to take time out from running injured so fully appreciates the recovery process and rest days. Her attitude throughout injury proves that it isn’t the end to running, and encourages everyone to stay positive if they ever find themselves in the same position.
Although Laura usually sticks to road races, she is willing to try new things. She has recently taken on running Copper Mountain in Colorado with some of the Crew and UA Running, and has run in the heat of humidity of Sierra Leone with Street Child UK. Laura is currently training for Royal Parks Half in October 2018 and has her sights set on a goal for a spring marathon next year.
Laura is a friendly face of LDN Brunch Club, and when she isn’t running, Laura can be found splashing in the pool, eating brunch around London, sweating in a Hotpod Yoga class or cheering on others with a megaphone at the side of a race!
